Wade Roberts is a NRA Training Counselor and a NRA Certified CCW Instructor for Tulare, Kings, and Fresno Counties as well as Fresno City, Utah CHL, and NRA student and instructor level classes. Our training meets the requirements for Arizona and Florida non-resident CCW as well. I can conduct "Off Duty" qualifications for CDCR and possibly other agencies depending on your agencies policy. I am recognized by the California Department of Justice as a "Comparable Training Entity" and can issue a "Certificate of Completion" allowing you to apply to CA DOJ to become a "DOJ Certified Instructor."
DOJ CCW Instructor Information
On April 10, 2024, California Department of Justice (DOJ) finalized their changes to sections 4410 and 4412 of Title 11, Division 5 of the California Code of Regulations. Originally they required a POST Instructor/Rangemaster certificate, BSIS Firearms Instructor, or an Instructor at an academy program at a state college. This change is to add, among other ratings, NRA Personal Protection Outside the Home Instructor.

LEOSA
LEOSA, Law Enforcement Officers Safety Act, was passed in 2004 and allows on-duty, retired, or separated law enforcement officers to carry a concealed firearm in any jurisdiction in the United States with some restrictions. Following are links to articles explaining the law, both are worth reading. One article worth reading is in the NRA site explaining how LEOSA does not exempt you from certain gun free zones. For example, State and Local CCW permits or licenses can exempt you from the 1000 foot GFSZ but LEOSA permit does not. A good example is San Francisco.
